What I Do – Aakeem

As Aakeem prepares to drop his forthcoming album N.F.F.F.P., he gives us a preview of what’s to come with his single, What I Do. In addition to the vintage feel of the music video, the Chicago native’s flow brings us back to the Golden Age of hip-hop, the 90s. No hook, just bar after bar after bar.

“When I attended Morehouse, I studied at the bando / Never needed a weapon, shit, just lyrical ammo / I wear the crown like Samo / Twenty-nineteen and we still under Jim Crow / No hands, throw elbows / Air Forces, no shell toes”

Aakeem isn’t new this to this though. He’s been giving us consistent bars for years now. From his most recent freestyles to even his 2017 mixtape, Betrayal & Liberation, Aakeem has never slacked on a verse. Be sure to stay tapped in with his music until upcoming project drops.
